Generator installation questions in Wales

What size generator do I need for my Wales home?

It depends on what you want to run. We add up the starting and running loads of your equipment and recommend a size, usually with an option for essentials only and one for the whole house.

Do you install Generac generators?

Yes. We install Generac and other standby generator brands, including the transfer switch and all electrical connections.

Natural gas or propane?

If natural gas is available at the property it is usually the simplest fuel. Rural properties around Wales often run on propane. Both work well.

Can I connect a portable generator to my panel?

Yes, with an inlet box and an interlock or transfer switch. Never plug a generator into an outlet to backfeed the house; it endangers line workers and your equipment.
